Port Blair, April 30: Shri Vishal Jolly, National Executive Member of the BJP and Former State President of BJP-ANI, has requested compensation following the assessment of damages resulting from a devastating fire that occurred yesterday at the Billiground market in North & Middle Andaman. In a letter addressed to the Hon'ble Lt. Governor of the A & N Islands, Jolly detailed the extensive losses incurred.

Mayabunder, April 30: The Ex-Pramukh, Mayabunder, Shri Abdul Siddique in a letter to the Dy. Commissioner, N&M Andaman District, explaining the ground situation of the fire accident that occurred in the midnight of 29th April 2024 has demanded for immediate assessment of damages and compensation to the accident victims.

In his letter, Siddique said, “Witnessing the aftermath of the incident earlier today was truly heart-wrenching. The swift response and concerted efforts of the Administration, led by Shri. Asish Joon, Assistant commissioner (HQ) were commendable. However, despite the valiant efforts of the police, fire brigade teams, and other departments, approximately 14 to 15 shops suffered irreparable damage.
